Worth keeping these two .cn? 脚本.cn and 国内.cn

It's renewal time again. Is it worth keeping these two:

脚本.cn - I have it down as "script"
国内.cn - and this as "domestic"

TIA

In my view, these are ok keywords. But I personally won't keep them.
BTW, 国内.cn is much better than 脚本.cn.

Re: Worth keeping these two .cn? 脚本.cn and 国内.cn

Tough call and I am in two minds...

This is as the searches (exact match) are low for them both...
5400 (G) and 15K (Baidu) monthly for 脚本 and 2900 (G) and 3690 (Baidu) per month for 国内 (however broad match, is as would be expected very high for 国内 and ok for 脚本).

国内 = domestic... but note that a better translation is inside/within China
(it is used more in the context to mean "within China" - but should arguably be used by a true native / local really and goes back to the cultural idea of "inside country" and "outside country", where China "centre country" was seen as the centre of the world and anything outside the country is perhaps strange, undesireable etc. - in traditional implied usage, rather than 100% strict meaning today)
i.e. it is a powerful term to mean a "Chinese" thing, concept, or whatever comes after it in a sentance... most common usage is "In China it is..." or "In China we..." (in a sense it is perhaps a very nationalistic term, so may grow in power as China and Chinese nationalism does).

Therefore it could be used as a powerful site name, if for something is related to things / something inside of China (but would be strange for a foreign company in China to use for example).

脚本 = script/code (e.g. code or script for computer programming)

You decide if you want to keep them or not...
(sorry can not be more help than that and hope comment help) :)

Cheers, Asiaplay

Thank you Markits and Asiaplay for the insights.

Leaning towards dropping 脚本 and keeping 国内.

I have thought it over again, 脚本 is in fact a good one, very easy to develop into a webmaster related script portal such as http://www.jiaoben.net/.

In fact the more I think about it, the more I incline to keep both.

Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Worth keeping these two .cn? 脚本.cn and 国内.cn

I would probably keep both.

Just to clear up what type of script 脚本 refers to..
脚本 means script (more so referring to scripting languages, i.e. Java, CS, C+, etc).
The most popular way to say website script (i.e. php scripts, etc) is 代码 which means code.

国内, as asiaplay explained well, would best be translated as 'inside China'. Would probably be most suitable for a website based on China news, and any other topic solely about things happening in China.

Both names are decent enough, i thinks..

Thanks mgrohan.

Would you guys keep 脚本.cn if you had the .com? Or would the higher price make it not worthwhile?

Re: Worth keeping these two .cn? 脚本.cn and 国内.cn

I think the answer is, "can you think of a model for each of these two IDNs to make money if developed - which is why I didn't make a final call for you (as maybe you can very easily).

Agree with Mgrohan's comments - 脚本 could be something like hotscripts (but not sure how they exactly make money and his comments on java etc. are right) and 国内 I think Mgrohan was spot on also, news, articles, China guide or tourism for locals perhaps.

Reason I mention development, is that I think that perhaps both IDNs will take awhile for a local to "think" to use for their branding power and develop (so for investment only and not own development, I suspect / guess that it will be a medium to longer term one for return on investment... ).

Hope additional comments help - cheers, Andrew
