Holiday/Seasonal Domains

Hey guys what are your thoughts on seasonal IDN Domains?
Example holiday domains specific to certain countries?

These are domains that peak at certain times of the year.

I have few that are peaking at this time
for example last month was Hanami time people go to see the cherry blossoms

461675 花見 hanami
316324 ホワイトデー White Day (like Valentines day)
26089 ゴールデンウィーク Golden week 1st week of May


Also sports are included in this area too.
In Septemember High School baseball will get more than a few million queries...

Also if you guys have any seasonal domains post them to keep record of peak times.

Of cource if you sell any it's also good to tell the person at that time of the year searches will go up to... XXX number of searches...

It's funny you post this now, as I was thinking about this the other day.

I stumbled across "easter" in various languages, but didn't take them - purely as it is very seasonal.

I think seasonal domains can be a pretty good investment. Thus, the number of searches for one of my Russian 'holiday' domains 8марта.com (March 8 - Women's Day) increased from the average 10,000 per month up to 1 mln in March.

Also, peak times are not normally limited just by one month, but 2-3 months. For example, the stats for another Russian domain новыйгод.com (New Year) on Yandex were:
11/05 – 608 500
12/05 - 1 437 159
01/06 - 127 654
while the stats for other months range from 5,000 to 20,000.

I have seen the overture rates change a lot for sports

213,113 (野球) baseball this month ovt , while last month it was just 100,000 . That is a huge difference in the ovt.

Yeah onley posted before wait untill the summer time they Overtures for certain things will be much higher

I own halloweencostumes.co.uk - it gets 95% of its traffic in October, but that's enough to make a nice little bit of cash. So I guess that's a "real world" example, given that most IDNs still have nominal traffic.
