Excellent information, thanks. Can you clear up one point. When you say "the registrant has the rights over both terms", does that mean that if Simplified is registered, the Traditional word equivalent will not go thru on registration? And vice-versa?

Yes, if the characters Map, but there is quite a bit of confusion over what maps and what doesn't
