Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

there are many issues playing out....

1- trying to follow the law now...and make an effort to correct

2- finding the internal truth, since this interstate and international fraud now...
buyers from around the world..etc..
so......the FEDS / FBI/ IRS is about to land on this.

3- the cover-up ...what did you know and when did you know it....
this will hit everyone that ever worked there......

4- Halvarez's own money trail.....paypal..credit cards...wiretransfers....

with all the xx,xxx sales and xxx,xxx sales..........standby on RICO ...conspiracy...

5- Were auctions at TRAFFIC and other conferences shilled ???

With regard to all domain auctioneers and drop services........Latona ...Enom, GoDaddy......
the IRS is preparing the colonoscope ....

6- Sedo.......needs to self-audit.....before the FEDS force them...

Can't wait for DNJournal to cover the story and win a Pulitzer prize ?????

Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

My guess is that it is Oversee that are pursuing this as they probably brought a company with fraudulently inflated revenues. That would have been expensive.

Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

Well, they certainly appear to have enough influence to have several year old threads discussing halvarez deleted from forums. Let's see if they have enough influence to get Google to prematurely delete those threads from it's cache.

This is going to get very interesting.

Shades of the recent MP's expenses scandal in the UK when info was deleted from websites but the media had already copied them - I am sure this will have happened here.

Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

One more interesting thing is that halvarez was involved in every ascii auction in which I was involved, as recent as 2 months ago, except for one, but he was never involved in idn auctions in which I was involved. The only ascii auction in which I was involved, in which halvarez wasn't, was for kanpur.net - 2 years ago next week. That was also the only auction I'd ever been in together with FS. It would be interesting to hear from FS if halvarez had ever shilled in any of his other auctions. Perhaps halvarez thought it wise not to bite the hand that feeds him...

Things that make you go hmm...

Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

FS mentioned somewhwere that SN owes him something in the six figures region [EDIT It's 5 figures]. So I assume halvarez was involved in many of the auctions FS participated.

Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

I think everyone who is going to get the email has got it.

And they can stick their wee rebate where the sun doesn't shine.

I'm waiting for a better offer.

Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

I was once bidding against Halvarez, but I let him win, so no money for me.

This is good, easy money is being spread to a lot domainers. maybe they'll invest on idns this time?

Re: Halvarez is BUSTED!

1) File a police report online with your local police department. Tell the police you want to want to report a crime and file criminal charges against Snapnames.

2) Contact your credit card company and report the fraudulent charges. Send them a copy of the Snapnames email. Banks have huge fraud teams, so they have better resources than you or I do. Credit card companies will stop processing charges for Snapnames if enough people do it.

3) Call Snapnames and demand billing history. Do not accept the lowball offer. They are giving people full refunds of auctions in which they won according to people I know.

Do steps 1-3. It is easy and quick. You will get your money back.

You can still make money in this case.
If Halvarez still has the domain, you can ask him to give you the domain at the price you would have got it without him involved. If he sold it, then you can simply do a calculation to see how much money you would make if you got it at lower price and sold it at the later higher price. Either way, you can get something out of it.

Imagine he's too busy talking to his many lawyers to talk with anyone else. That or he's done one.
