My new Xbox 360 won't play .AVI.

I bought an Xbox 360 when it first came out. Well, I was struck down recently with the red ring of death and had to get a new Xbox 360.

I have quite of library of .AVI movies and they ALL played on my original 360. Now none of them will play. Did Microsoft stop allowing .AVIs to play on the 360?

I've tried doing Google searches but all the information is 2 years old and doesn't help me. Anyone have an answer as to why they won't play now when they did on my old one?

They upgraded their whole system through XBL a while ago... I'm not sure if that's what stopped it?

Can you still sync with your desktop or w/e? I remember having a friend that used to do it in some weird way that I thought was awesome.

Yeah, I can run media center but still can run avi.
