IDN.EU coming, only support Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic characters NOW.

Please enter all the eu domains to search for in the box below. Domains can be separated by commas or whitespace.

NOTE: Since the EU central registry does not allow IDNs just yet, we cannot check if this domain is actually available or not. EU IDNs only support Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic characters. To ensure that the IDNs you enter are valid, please check them at www.eurid.eu. Also, please see Who can register an EU domain?

NOTE: There are many preorders for the top domains. Failed preorders will receive an account credit, not a refund.

I view this as VERY good publicity for IDNs, if nothing else. JMO

they have such a great track record with IDN launches what are you worried about?

I am an EU resident, as well a capable DNS admin (a few of you have experience with me hosting very large numbers of your domains in my DNS and web servers).

Here are my prices:

* 1000 USD per domain administration fee per domain caught with back-order, which covers first year administration fee per domain, thereafter yearly administration fee is 50 USD per year per domain.

* 50 USD per year administration fee per domain registered during the first 30 minutes after launch.

* 10 USD per year administration fee per domain registered after 30 minutes from launch.

Contact via PM if you want my services.

Re: IDN.EU coming, only support Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic characters NOW.

Name.com will be participating in the EU IDN launch. The cost at Name.com will be $9.99/year.

How many people have already pre-ordered an EU IDN? We are considering offering a pre-order service if there is interest.

Hi,
is there a sunrise period for european idn domains like standard character domains, i.e. some idn domains have been already reserved by trademark holders?
Thank you in advance for your help

Will you issue a refund for names not acquired during the launch?

The trustee service is very nice, but need I need a guarantee of a refund if not successful. Otherwise I will have to sit this one out.

Hi Tee1,

Our policy is to issue credits on account for any pre-registrations paid for before the go live date.

After this, if the domain availability or requirements have to be verified with the registry after payment is made, we can issue a credit on your account or a refund if the domain is unable to be registered for any reason - whichever you prefer.

Best,
Anthony

The local service presence is nice. How do you pre-order? First come, first serve?

With regard to our refund policy. We will refund (not issue account credit) for any domains we are unable to acquire on your behalf.

What happens if you successfully register a domain that was pre-regged by two or more clients ?? Is it first come first served, or some type of random draw as to who gets the domain ??

We are offering a first come, first served option as we believe it's the fairest way to handle it.

RD - read Paul's post above - he has said that Name.com will offer a refund, and not account credits !!

Paul - how would we know if we are the first to try and prereg a domain ?? Would it take our order regardless of the case where it has already been submitted earlier by another client ??

Alex

We are offering 100% refund for any domains we're unable to register. So if you pre-reg an EU IDN domain for $9.99 on your credit card and we are unable to reg it for you - you'll receive a refund on your credit card for $9.99.

I hope that clears up our refund policy.

We check our system for already pre-registered domains when you use our pre-order form, so if someone has already pre-ordered the domain it will show as unavailable. If you are able to complete the checkout process then YOU are the client who owns that pre-registration. No one before you placed an order for that domain and no after you will be able to either.

The nice part about that is that the domain will immediately be in your account after launch if we are able to reg it for you, no waiting for a raffle type assignment.
