.Eu IDN's
Hi there,
I think I got lucky at .eu Idn Landrush
and now I am looking for a reseller to take this Lot from me:
доктор.eu - Doctor (Russian + Serbian + Bulgarian + Ukrainian + Macedonian + Belarussian)
кафе.eu - Cafe and/or Coffee (Russian + Bulgarian + Ukrainian + Macedonian + Belarussian + Serbian)
банка.eu - Bank and/or Jar (Russian + Bulgarian + Ukrainian + Macedonian + Belarussian + Serbian)
линк.eu - Link (Russian + Serbian + Bulgarian + Ukrainian + Macedonian + Belarussian)
imobiliária.eu - Real Estate (Portuguese)
imobiliárias.eu - Real Estate (Portuguese)
imobiliários.eu - Real Estate (Portuguese)
crêpes.eu - pancakes (French + Italian + Spanish)
firmę.eu - Company (Polish + Standard Serbian + Latvian + Czech)
première.eu - First (French)
dziękuję.eu - Thank You (Polish)
tête.eu - Head (French)
български.eu - Bulgarian (Bulgarian)
гитара.eu - Guitar (Russian + Serbian + Ukrainian)
йога.eu - Yoga (Russian + Serbian + Bulgarian + Ukrainian)
российскаяфедерация.eu - The Russian Federation (Russian + Ukrainian)
такси.eu - Taxi (Russian + Serbian) different meanings in Bulgarian and Ukrainian (Airport??)
япония.eu - Japan (Russian + Bulgarian + Ukrainian)
But beforehand I'd like to get your opinions on a realistic asking price, not enduser, reseller pricing...
Looking for a quick flip since I am not really into IDN's and busy with other projects..
Oh also if I made a mistake with the translation please let me know, I only speak 2 of those languages...
Thanks very much..
Toni

firmę.eu
ę is a valid letter in Polish only. Not in Latvian, Czech, or Serbian.
It also sounds to me as it can't stand alone, but I'm not a native speaker of Polish.

The correct word in all these languages is банк. банка means jar, as in a jar of jam in Russian. It is also a non-standalone form of the word for bank.

Re: .Eu IDN's
Did some checking. It does mean bank in Bulgarian, and Serbian Cyrillic (rarely used). Serbians usually use the Latin alphabet in advertising and online.
In Ukrainian the word is also банк, like Russian.

Quick flip? I'd say around $200 for all of them.

You will get a better idea when the Sedo Auction is over in the next day or so. I think some here are going to get quite a shock. The German domains are already getting close to five figures.

Re: .Eu IDN's
no expectations, reason why I came to the appraisal thread
lol, but at least more then what I paid for...
and I think it's very doable but not with a quick flip it seems...
but hey, your the experts in this field not me...
quick-flipped many domains after landrushes for a really nice profit but no idn's ever, though I hold 4 german idn's for clients...
well sometimes you win and sometimes you loose
Thanks Guys...
If there are more opinions, I would be happy to hear them, I won't be offended...

yeah as expected, german Idn's are really strong (makes total sense to me as a german)...
many rules applied for domains do not apply to german domains apparently :D

Re: .Eu IDN's
Russia is not in the EU, and Bulgarian domains aren't so hot no matter what. The other ones may be good.

No, but Russia does regard itself as a European Nation.
As the only EU country using cyrillic Bulgaria is a bit of a Trojan Horse.
I think the critical thing here is that at Sales Platform has been established. That may just give IDN the credibility it needs. Perhaps we cannot expect Chinese next week, but how long can it be before Cyrillic.com are on sale at Sedo?

Re: .Eu IDN's
yeah I know that buddy...
but I assume your from the eu as well and know how widespread russians are all over the place and they generally keep to their own language/community so I don't think this is a valid argument to devalue those Russian Idns... it hurts a little, yes... my rough estimate would be that at least 5-7% do speak russian in the EU (in some parts they are like 50%)...
btw I am not trying to defend my investment, just my opinion, if those domains are worth $200 only I can live with it, no problem...

Sadly, I wish Afternic would have taken the opportunity to fill the void in the market. This was an opportunity for them to rebuild their brand. I actually prefer their escrow service over many of the existing ones. It pretty much sucks waiting for Sedo. Purchasing a domain from them is a VERY painful experience.

Re: .Eu IDN's
Hello,
"firmę" is a valid Polish word but is completely worthless as a standalone keyword.
We have grammatical cases in Polish (as in Latin) and one you have registered is singular accusative.
Declension of noun "firma" (singular):
Nominative: firma
Genitive: firmy
Dative: firmie
Accusative: firmę
Ablative: firmą
Locative: firmie
Vocative: firmo
For example: you could use this word in a phrase:
"I would like to open a firm" (in Polish: Chciałbym otworzyć firmę)
or
"I have a firm" (in Polish: Mam firmę)
If you will need some help with Polish, Italian or German let me know.
Best Greetings
