New Greek aquisitions....

διαβήτησ.com - ovt 25 both mean "diabetes"
διαβητησ.com

ζωγραφική.com - ovt 45 both mean "paintings"
ζωγραφικη.com - ovt 258

απασχόληση.com - ovt 51, google 1.64milion, means "employment"

βιβλιοπωλειο.com - ovt 90 means "bookstore"

thought it was strange that domainsite lists διαβήτησ.com instead of διαβήτης.com but both have the same punycode.

Re: New Greek aquisitions....

Very nice. I like them.

I particularly like diabetes and paintings.

Yea, that's the way it works with the ending "ς"
You will notice overture also gives different results on the same keyword. Sometimes more with the "σ" at the end and other times the opposite.

Mostly "painting" as in the artform. Very nice.

Mainly used by government agencies, newsmedia etc. Not used much in everyday conversation, but definately hot for an employment agency.
It also means "to keep busy"

"εργασία" is the more commonly used term for employment (both forms taken) εργασια.net is avail

Great stuff overall!

Re: New Greek aquisitions....

Definately some good ones there.

I hada real fright when I regged my first Greek IDNs and saw the letter σ instead of ς at the end. THough I had made a monumental screw up, and was repeatedly checking again and again to make sure I regged the right name.

Is there anyone else in here who would like to see a subsection for Greek IDNs ?? There does seem to be quite a bit of interest in them, even though they are not on the same level at all with Japanese, Chinese, etc.

Re: New Greek aquisitions....

I really wish we did have a greek subsection. honestly it's the only IDN's I have, cause it's the only language other than English I know anything about.
