Hey guys I saw this on Names Pro & thought it was interesting
What was your last register for the year & what was your first (what you can say publicly) You guys can edit it later.. My last was my 4 Japanese cities: Mie Ken 三重県.com Gifu Ken 岐阜県.com Niigata Prefecture 新潟県.com & Kyoto 京都府.com My First was this morning with the Japanese Holiday ホワイトデー.com - White Day - equivalent of Valentines day except guys buy gifts for women on this day... Happy hunting guys...

My first ever IDN registration was on 14th Nov, 研究.com (research.com in Chinese), and my last was just 2 days ago, 性交.net (fuck.net in Chinese).
I started playing with domains sometime in October, at first i went hunting for .us, and had to stop after the food.us buyer went round paying 10k-20k for food domains. That was when i chanced upon IDNs on some forum - i didn't know IDN existed previously.  Regged 155 names in 6 weeks since i started. I think i need to go through them one day to weed out the junks and ensure that they won't be renewed.

These are mostly Chinese domains, where the traditional variety (used in Taiwan/Japan/Hong Kong) has been registered, so Verisign blocks the simplified variety from being registered.

In the Member's section I'm trying to get a list of names that are blocked, reserved or just downright unregisterable
Chris do you think that you can contribute to this? If so maybe a few of us can you PM you a few leads I personally don't want to own everything under the sun so when I find a new batch of Japanese names I usually take the top 3 & leave the rest... Now the rest of the guys that's a whole different story....

All the usual suspects were registered long-ago -- 5 years ago one of several big companies registered over 25,000 IDN. Occasionally, I'll see something ridiculous like 'loans' available in .com, only to find out it was already registered either in traditional chinese or japanese which was similar enough that it mapped to the chinese.
I guess I just said the same thing as touchring --
