thai translation

ฟังเพลง.com what is the correct translation for this term? listen to music? or is it more like radio? it has a broad search of 37 million and a exact search of 1.2 million so i assume its a good term.

http://www.thai-language.com/id/204481

One of the most searched Thai terms:

http://www.google.com/insights/searc...#geo=TH&cmpt=q

The .com should be very good. I've got the .TV

Edit: I don't speak Thai. So better wait for domainguru or trafficdomainer.

mdw is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: thai translation

This one means listen to music, but there are a lot of similar terms so wait for TrafficDomainer to give the detailed explanation - the nuances around music terms requires a native speaker to assess properly.

The cool thing for me is a few years back you had the only one of these. That is, when I looked all other extensions were available. Now ฟังเพลง.net and
ฟังเพลง.th and ฟังเพลง.tv are all registered. I love it!

"listen to song(s)" is literal translation - "ฟัง" is listen and "เพลง" is song. But "listen to music" is a better translation into English.

Radio is "วิทยุ" so "listen to the radio" is "ฟังวิทยุ"

Other popular ones are:

โหลดเพลง - literal = "load songs", real = "download MP3s"
เพลงใหม่ - literal = "new songs", real = "new music"

Thais really do seem to a phenomenally large number of music-related searches.

Not to mention ฟังเพลง.blogspot.com and ฟังเพลง.exteen.com etc. You know, this crazy idea of putting Thai letters into domains might just have some legs

Re: thai translation

yeah - I suppose as terms go from one word to two words "เพลงสากล" to three words and beyond, broad and exact will tend to the same value ...

funny, within 10 minutes of posting, I got a (lowball) offer for:

โหลดเพลง - literal = "load songs", real = "download MP3s"

Didn't know I owned it till then
