I need the utf-8 gurus' help on this one
I have an old site with ascii folders and subfolders which I'm 301 redirecting to corresponding unicode folder and subfolder names.
In the .htaccess file, I've been doing this:
Redirect 301 /ascii/ http://mysite.com/unicode/
Redirect 301 /ascii/ascii2/ http://mysite.com/unicode/unicode2/
The first redirect works fine for a one level deep folder.
But the second redirect only seems to convert the 1st folder into unicode and ignores the subfolder unicode2.
In other words, the redirect "Redirect 301 /ascii/ascii2/ http://mysite.com/unicode/unicode2/" takes the user to http://mysite.com/unicode/ascii2
Anyone have any idea why this is?
