Here are a few mini topics that I can remember (I will make sure I have a pen and paper next time). Please feel free to respond in a new thread, if you find it worth discussing or have any experience:
above.com: "Automatic optimization of your domains/Easily test and compare different parking services on a single dashboard/Automatic redirection to alternate parking service if earnings drop". Does anybody have experience with this and with IDNs on it?
textbroker.com: Cheap unique content ($5-7 range per article). It says "Textbroker’s client base is international and diverse". So did anybody try this with IDNs?
comwired.com: "Set rules to route your web and email traffic by country of origin. Or even target by state/province and city. All from your one stop DNS control panel".

There were actually some lurkers that just skim the board that showed up at the event.. Hopefully going forward they will share their knowledge..

... not unless attitudes change here.. the overwhelming feedback was that it was way too hostile towards noobs, hence the lurking.
read into that what you will

I agree with you Gary. I meant they signed up but didn't post. Most I met were active posters that I recognized from the board.

The majority of users on all forums are lurkers, no matter what the attitude.

Great pics and commentaries. Congrats to Aaron and Gary for the success. How about the next event in Bangkok followed by a retreat in Phuket, Thailand?

Been there. Ko Samui is much better and Phi Phi even better.

Re: IDNEvent (NYC 30th October 2010)
Agree that Phi Phi is better than Phuket in terms of natural beauty, even better than Phi Phi is Similan Island. But Phuket has an international airport that connects directly with the rest of the world and is a world class city on its own with all the amenities, so it is way easier to travel to. There are many other beaches in Phuket that are quieter and nicer that are not frequented and known by tourists and some of these are not so far behind Phi Phi. Once you get to Phuket, you can ofcourse take side trips via the ferry to the likes of Phi Phi and Similan but it takes a little more time but could be workable. Come to think of it, any of these Southern Thailand locations are wonderful and breathtaking and we could skip Bangkok altogether.
As for Samui, it's another great place but personally I don't rank it as high as the water and the beaches are generally better on the Andaman side (Indian Ocean) compared to the Gulf of Thailand.

I don't think it's a plug-in you're looking for. It's the classipress theme , made for classifieds -auction type sites.
