Something smells in .рф land

This is based on a claim made by a guy here:

forum.searchengines.ru/showthread.php?t=566660&page=35

He claims that since the domain диссертация-на-заказ.рф was taken (God knows why), he chose to try and register the typo of the domain:

диссертация-на-аказ.рф

Anyways, It is now him and another "guy" (bot or not?) in the auction for that premium domain.

all the early bidding I thought could be explained by the relative inexperience of some of the bidders.. well maybe not

Domain information диссертация-на-аказ.рф (XN-----6KCBBAWIYCC2A9A1BNAT7E2I.XN--P1AI)

The domain name is available for registration.

My mistake, these are the 2:

диссертация-на-заказ.рф
диссертация-на-зказ.рф

By the way, the domain in question means "thesis (writing) to order", ie. a thesis writing service, (many who don't want to do any work in Russian universities, simply hire others to do their work for them).

I think the media campaign brought out those with money, but not much domain or auction experience.

It's what anyone in their position would have wanted. Forget the penny pinching small-timers like the one squawking here in that other thread drowning in worthless domains.

They want exposure. They want hype. And most of all, they want as much money as possible. That's business.

These pathetic losers still stuck in asciiruskie.ru have been wiped out over night. It's what RUNIC wanted all along. That has GOT to sting.

He posted a print screen showing two bidders in the auction.

sarcle:

asciiruskie.ru plus the verisign cranium/rectal meme.....

+1 rep.

very funny...

ascii 2,3,4,5,& 6 pinyin character dot cn's and dot com and dotcomdotCN's

wow...
2 days...
it took months for dot mobi , and LLLL's to blow up
it took months for dot co to get to 400K

28,000 names in auction.

where 20 to 100+ bidders are tracked bidding per name ???
xxxx to xx,xxx generally.
and where the Russian press and public will learn of what....

maybe 100 to 200 xxx,xxx sales by the end of next week.

The DNJournal article with 100 to 200 xxx,xxx Russian IDN.po sales
at month's end should be a wake up call.

Again....the marketing guys in Russia are going to be very pissed.
They ignored their own language and their own population's love of that language.

Over the next month, millions of Russians are going to ask why RU is not having an IDN, and will scratch their head about Paraguay having a laugh
for being PY and playing in the world cup to Russia's no-show...

ArabicASCII domains are about to endure this debacle as well.

If it's done properly.

May I suggest someone prepares a list of the names that meet the DNJournal spec's NOW (with correct English translations, so that the closing prices can be filled in later and then loaded immediately to the IDN blogs and sent to DNJ for inclusion.

DNJ can handle cyrillic?

It's all done in Microsoft Frontpage (was last time I checked - shudder) so maybe it doesn't?

Re: Something smells in .рф land

Heck...

I just hand reg'd the 7 below in the last two days.

I will auction them off at xxxx /per if people think the new
Russian IDN.IDN investor pool would find them based on Google's spider...

Frankly, I am kind of shocked these 7 were available....
I just figured I would test the "E-" / э- theme ....

a 7.50/ 7500 = 10^3 1000% .....30 day return would be a good DNJ story....????

э-почты.com (xn----1tbcnyzi.com)

Email ....granted hyphen....but the hyphen is more common for this than without from a Yandex/google search...

э-обучение.com (xn----btbmao3ae5bxb5c.com)
э-ваучеров.com (xn----8sbfbo8cnw0b5c.com)
э-купоны.com (xn----ttbjdex3dj.com)
э-бизнес.com (xn----btbmhe5a3a3g.com)

e-business.....a lucky catch...

э-аукцион.com (xn----8sbyhqf6aza2d.com)

э-билеты.com (xn----btbmlp7bydj.com)

lucky 7's ??????
and I think I would post the names in auction com/KOM for giggles....

google translate/ google image search/ cut and paste....
the 21st century method to pan for 'gold' ...
a hedge against quantitative easing ....

sorry to the Pommies ....that Ben labeled it QE2.... what a tosser...

Cause these are wortless.
We don't use "э-" prefix with the meaning of "е-"
We say "е-"
And the worst of them are:

э-ваучеров.com (xn----8sbfbo8cnw0b5c.com)

Почта doesn't used in plural form.
Ваучер is the right standalone term.

Re: Something smells in .рф land

your quote:

We say "е-"

speaks volumes....or types volumes.

-----
and whether IDN's permit mixed russian / ascii letters ....

E- may be said.
but is not permitted with IANA for idn mixed use....

as you should know, but that digresses from your trolling.

so your knowledge of E / э / or the number 3 relative to any concept of
word use/ SERP advantage/ and #search results is an opinion...

I have a very solid reasons not to care about E or э....

mobile phone keystrokes/ keypads/ and bookmarking...
where switching to the E is tangential...

so troll elsewhere....

......

re: for the troll flame thread history...

Your fixture to say as a fact, that my choice or anyone else's investment choices are 'wortless' is trolling.

so tread lightly ....

you have added so little of value to threads in the past 3 days or so....

the dot PO gulag of bullshit may flow in the Volga....but it will not flow here.

as a co-owner/ moderator here....banning you in short order is on my IDNF short list this week.

Your tone , attitude, and demeanor is boorish.
change..or .vanish....

I think he meant the Russian "е-" not the English "e-". There are two "e" in Russian - е and э.

It's my opinion and I tell you all the arguments. While my opinion don't reflect with your opinion - I'm a troll - you're not original here.

Well... I'm not offend your personality - I'm only said the opinion about your domains with an arguments
Your only arguments that I'm a troll. Pity.

Maybe I broken the rule of the forum:
Quote:

Everyone who have the opinion that any domain of any domain-holder here is worth less then $xxx.xxx is the troll and will be banned immediately.
??
If so, show me, please, this rule and I would totally agree about my ban.

Regards.

P.S. It's a little bit funny if I will have ban for the real help of positioning the right using of words in domain name while all other people here receive good reps for it :)

OK, guys, I promise not to say about the possible worth of any of your domain - surely you know it better!
My truly apologises - I didn't no it's prohibited here. And I wish your soul to be calm.
