I keep hearing about these alternate root domains at parties, but they are never going to be supported widely.

Re: Opinions?

There are 2 kinds of scam in this world - the legal scam, and illegal scam.

Selling a product that doesn't work isn't illegal, but is still a scam. There are plenty of such scams around.

Not surprisingly most of the Bozos on DNF see this free "give away" as their road to riches. Most of them could not pick up gold nuggets if they were tripping over them!

Re: Opinions?

If it's so good, why do you have to visit a .com website to find out about it?

Re: Opinions?

If you read the fine print, people need to install proprietary software on their machines to properly view and visit the sites created on these "domains."

I had a bunch of good ones all picked out, and I didn't even bother once I read that...

Quote from the website:

"XXXXXXXXX is registering the following domains/emails. Proceeding with this purchase implies that you have read the terms and conditions and understood that these domains/emails are available using the dotWORLDS \'Private Network\' infrastructure and those wishing to access the domains will require the dotWORLDS free activation software (not required for emails)."
