That's why I'm not contacting GAC: I don't know what to suggest. Personally, I think that releasing a flood of TLDs like .food and .music is not only harmful to my economic interests as a .com investor, it is likely to be confusing and harmful to ordinary Internet users. So I can hardly request that GAC get out of the way and let the gTLD process move forward.

On the other hand, it would be nice (though unlikely), and of benefit to the world Internet community, if the IDN .com equivalents were put on a fast track. But this is more of a GNSO issue than a GAC issue.

It appears the gang that wants the "new" .gTLDs (ie. .xxx, .anything, .pooperscooper etc etc) are holding up the process for the mainstay gTLDs. "idn.com", "idn.net", "idn.biz". etc etc etc. are being held 'hostage' while they push their agenda thru on the same proposal.

This is really a shame to legitimate domain holders who have been holding their idn.com, idn.net etc for 10+ years not to mention the fact that idn.cctlds are being given an unfair advantage and headstart towards getting well established to become the dominant extension in many languages.
