You will probably soon be able to add English to that list.

Re: Disappearing languages

I like this disappearing language shit because it gives ASCII domainers another excuse to add to their long list why they can feel comfortable ignoring IDNs forever. Excellent!

You just don't get it do you? They are .com domainers and don't have time for this .

If they won't ever talk about idn's, will they go away?

Oh they will turn up eventually .... but only kicking and screaming when they realize they have missed the biggest domaining boat that's ever sailed ....

Until then, they will just see headlines like "languages disappearing every 14 days" and laugh at us IDNers. But of course they won't read the actual site details to see what is disappearing and why. The only language I could in South East Asia that was endangered was ....

"Arem is a nearly extinct language of Vietnam and Laos. The Arem people were forced to abandon their forest homes about 50 years ago and to move to government relocation centers. Recent estimates place the number of Arem speakers at 40, with a total ethnic population of about 600."

This might decimate the value of Wot's portfolio (only joking) but leave's the rest of us S.E.Asia IDN investors safe, for the next 14 day at least

The value and quality of my IDN portfolio was considered somewhat inferior by a senior member a couple of weeks ago and he was not joking.

Ah well, I am thick skinned and will have to make do with the low $xx,xxx in ascii sales made so far this year.

Sorry to hear that. I know you know I am only joking about the portfolio stuff. If I meant it seriously, I wouldn't even think of saying it ....

Well, even if the major languages aren't dying. You still can't sue anybody if you fall in their store!
