He didn't have to 'break the rules' or even put it on his charts, but I think he did his readers a disservice not to at least report the news.

Maybe Ron wasn't thinking outside of the box and just following rules and "perhaps" Steve could write him and ask if he could consider reporting about this deal mentioning that although it didn't comply within the timeframe for DNJournal chart inclusion but it was verified and history was made for the first Hindi IDN to break 5 figures. Can't hurt to try. I think it will excite and wake up the market, not just for Hindi IDNs but other languages as well. Just my 2 cents

One other note while we are on the subject of domain sales. This week I learned that the first known five-figure sale of a Hindi IDN domain name was made late last year, however seller Steve Clarke just now got clearance to release the details. He got $10,000 for कैसीनो.com (puny code: xn--11b2b6b6a0bv.com) - which means "casino" in Hindi script.

It's so sad to see that there are hardly any other phrases/words being searched in such huge volume!

Buyer owns 扑克.com (Poker.com) in Simplified Chinese as well. They have a fair number of domains. Might be a domainer rather than a casino operator, online or otherwise.
