Well start with the source. I don't think Mulligan is buying at that level, so I would guess he is either selling or brokering. I would guess the former.

At this stage I would suggest that it can only Japanese, Chinese or German.

If you look at what he is into, then it could be just about anything. As for a specific domain you might start by looking at his recent drops.

It was sold right here at this forum. The negotiation was initially for a lower price domain, but later concluded on this one.

Did we ever learn what the "Newspaper Subscription" domain went for? That had to be a high-priced sale... Just curious.

Just take a look on idntools.net in the sale section you'll see it.

Yes, and well done Bram, it looks like Duke has got competition. There are quite a few there which I had missed!

Nice sales report Bram, tools probably slow as everyone buying was focused in on the Japanese and Chinese "real estate" boom!

Re: HomeImprovement.com (Simplified Chinese) Private Buy

Interesting development, I can remember the sale of a real estate related idn to an enduser some time ago, maybe this is related. Asian real estate is potential gold, especially in the growing coastal area's, this sparked my initial interest in the Chinese market.

I hope my top-100 list is not in vain, trust is difficult to gain and easy to lose, that much is certain.

Great buy!!
Yup, renovations or repair would be the appropriate translation, but good deal anyway! This 家园改善 probably the closest translation for HomeImprovement in Chinese simplified.

Here is comparative google trends of both terms, noticed you registered 家园改善 just yesterday.
http://www.google.com/trends?q=%E8%A3%85%E4%BF%AE%2C++%E5%AE%B6%E5%9B%AD%E6%94%B9%E5%96%84&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all

Your term "家园改善" gets only 3,800 google pages.
Home Renovation "装修" gets 47,200,000.

Isn't renovation=homeimprovements?

Perhaps renovation also applies to offices and commercial buildings.

Re: HomeImprovement.com (Simplified Chinese) Private Buy

Right, I register it just only yesterday and I only want to make things clear in terms of correct translation, this is going a bit out of contents when showing google trends and search results.

No offense guys, just want to make friends and share the knowledge. It's a good thing for everyone (Buyers) to know what he's buying and it's also good thing for anyone (sellers) to tell the truth about what he's selling. Just that

First welcome to the forum. No offense taken, but sibce you opened a 4 month old sale thread to compare your registration to 装修, just pointing out that statistically the two terms are not of same popularity or value. That does not mean your is not a good one.

Please feel free to share any information you wish. We are all here to learn, and there are still some good idns to be registered. Again, welcome.

There is no problem bringing an old thread back up...and good for you for using the "history" here to research from. You might find some older threads are locked but you can still reference back to them.

Nice to have a reminder of the original "Home Improvement" sale...that was an exciting day for idners. It is said to be among the very top of Chinese commercial IDNs by native speakers.

And your not too late to get in on IDNs...but the window is going to close fast when IE7 comes is released as an automatic update. That will give Microsoft customers (80% of market worldwide) the ability to resolve IDNs and unicode.
