Sedo still actively promoting scam IDNs

These are "featured domains for sale", which means they will (in rotation) appear on Sedo.com home page:

king·.com
v·a·e.com
chinese·.com
CHÎNA.COM
·internet.com
busỉness.com
jệ.com

These are all "technically IDNs" by the way .....

Why does this annoy? Because Sedo have a chance to feature REAL IDN domain names. Instead, all they feature is scam and semi-scam domains, that only people with really bad eyesight would ever think of wanting.

Long-term, it probably makes little difference to us, as we all know buyers will come from local markets.

Short-term, however, Sedo are continuing to damage the IDN market by featuring scam domains. People looking at the Sedo website will think IDN domains haven't moved beyond all that paypal phishing nonsense from 2003 or whenever it was. No wonder very few ASCII domainers ever think of making the "great leap forwards"....

Shame on Sedo. Or perhaps I am expecting too much by asking a big domain company to show some level of ethics / leadership?

Re: Sedo still actively promoting scam IDNs

They could, for instance, promote this one I just started:

http://www.sedo.com/auction/auction_...tion_id=118530

It's a top travel term in french language.

BTW: Where, in IDNF should one post about external auctions?

Lovely plug

The trouble with your domain is that its not a scam, and hence doesn't qualify to be featured by Sedo!

LOL. Indeed it was true. It was a great coincidence, check the auction time.

Probably just stick it in the French IDN section, for now. Like I did with the German one a day or so ago.

Re: Sedo still actively promoting scam IDNs

Thanks.

After the auction has finished I try to remember to switch it back to parking to squeeze the last cent out of the domain before it's transferred.
