IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report - 2011 First Six Months Results

http://www.iab.net/media/file/IAB-HY...port-Final.pdf

They are i think the 2nd most vocal organization looking to stop the new gTLD process after the ANA (http://techcrunch.com/2011/08/15/iab...level-domains/)

What do you think? Will the new gTLD process be delayed or will stay just as scheduled?

I have no choice but to assume that all of them mean business. All ive been seing lately in regard to the newgtld program is extremely negative responses from different business comunities. So the only way to avoid this unnessesary headache to the idn communities is for working groups and possibly even Verisign to start being more agressive in pushing the separation if the idngtld program from the new gtld program which can be stumbling over hurdles until everyone is happy, for who knows how long. Idngtld have very little or even nothing to do with anything thats happening right now in regards to the newgtld program. Or how they say in Hollywood, the show must go on.

ICANN's plan has always been to fund the program incl. potential litigation thru application fees, am I right ? I think ICANN is therefore in a position where it has to go ahead and collect application fees.
