Mission Accomplished! My Last Regular "Daily" Blog Post.

I am sure you have probably seen this by now.

Hmm What are your thoughts that the Domain King is bailing on his daily blog too work or an indication that the domain thing isn't working. My thoughts are alittle of both.

Ye, right. Posting once every 3 days prevented him from doing his work.

My guess is that he's getting a real job. Selling cars or something alike.

I don't think he could make it selling cars JMO, its a little rougher on the ole car lot these days. I have finally convinced my wife we need to hold off on getting a new vehicle for now...... but around here its like the salemen are all vulchers if you pull on the lot. One guy told me to look him up before next week if we wanted to trade because after that he might not be here Merry Christmas.....

The guy is so full of his own BS ( note I said BS - not .BS ), its amazing that he actually has any working organs left in his body. You would have thought by now that all that BS would have pushed his kidneys, lungs, liver and heart out from every orifice in his body.

I am Alex from Ithinkthatguyisatwat.com - I am Alex from whatadickhead.com - I am Alex from whycantthisguyfuckoff.com - I am Alex ...... ( blah blah blah )

Isn't "Mission Accomplished" one of the phrase American's like to use when they are reconcilled to defeat but wish to pass it off as a resounding victory?

Re: Mission Accomplished! My Last Regular "Daily" Blog Post.

Although he certainly like to toot his own horn, RS made it from 0 to xx,xxx, xxx on his own and that is an accomplishment in itself. Hope that we can be half as successful with IDNs. Amazing how many read his blog daily, he must have been doing something right to captivate so many for so long...IDNers included.

Just like in WW2, where that phrase started.

So which country is going to step up and deal with Iran and their upcoming nuclear insanity?

Re: Mission Accomplished! My Last Regular "Daily" Blog Post.

"In response, the British government, headed by Winston Churchill, embargoed Iranian oil and successfully enlisted the United States to join in a plot to depose the democratically elected government of Mosaddegh. In 1953 US President Dwight D. Eisenhower authorized Operation Ajax. The operation was successful, and Mosaddegh was arrested on 19 August 1953. The coup was the first time the US had openly overthrown an elected, civilian government."

10 GREAT domains make you a domainer. 100,000 worthless domains makes you a pigeon shit farmer at best and a fool at worst.

The real question is how many of his domains are truly great and how many are of the guano variety.

Sure he has some good ones (or at least had until he sold them).

He has also spent huge sums on utter crap.

Re: Mission Accomplished! My Last Regular "Daily" Blog Post.

The guy is a self-made multimillionaire. I can respect that.

But how many times can you say the same thing over and over? Really?

".com is king. new gTLDs wont replace or overtake .com. Not in the near future anyways. And those without some decent generic terms are just pissing in the wind."

Yeah, I get it.

Well, and then his off the wall rants. The best was that sim city pyramid thing. That was some good comedy right there.

Have to say, I don't know much about Mr. Schwartz. Is he the candy.com guy or was that the other guy (the one with the picture of himself wading in Cayman waters)? I know I've read a few of his posts over the years and yes, car salesman comes to mind.

But after reading this article on DNJ I have to say, "Yikes." I need a new signature.

And the whole business of domaining needs better writing if it's ever going to be considered legit.

Massage your parietal lobes before reading this gem:

Quote:
Schwartz has ruffled so many feathers along the way he probably should sue Frito-Lay for having the temerity to infringe on his trademark by calling their potato chips Ruffles!
That particular rhetorical construction makes me hate not only the guy and the writer, but also the industry.

Doesn't matter how much money you're making or how well respected your clients are if that's what the industry journal is publishing.

And the velvet painting of Einstein with the caption "...with a huge portrait of his idol, Albert Einstein, looking on," only makes me wish I'd never registered a domain name even more. If Einstein were alive today I don't think he'd own a domain name.

I honestly wonder whether Rick knows the first thing about his "Hero"?

Sure he loves to be associated with iconic figures? But is that really a good reason for us to make the association?

No. He is a dotCom guy. That's why he invested in dotMobi rather than those untypable squiggles.
