.com or ccTLD ? - IDN Forums

I have a newbie question I have been wanting to get answered.

What is preferred by most IDN investors? Owning the IDN with the .com or with the ccTLD?

On the surface it seems it would be the ccTLD but wanted to get verification on that from some of you pros.

idn.com by along way I would think would be the consensus unless it is idn.de.

Varies by language.

I think the no-brainer for me would be arabic.com because of the many borders and ccTLDs that the language crosses. Grab an e-commerce domain in .com or .net and sell to all of them!

I'm not a .cn bear as many others here. I have one only though lol.

I've noticed a fair amount of buyers of .net IDNs.

Why do IDN buyers buy those when there are still so many .coms and the market is still so new, or should I say underappreciated?

It seems like that would be a long shot, after all..... .net in ASCII don't sell well or get traffic like the .coms do.

Idn.net get more traffic than cctld.

Should you value them?

.

you see a lot of .net buyers because people here post above average. to great net's to sell before they are willing to sell average .com's. and sometimes they own both so they sell the .net.

Ownership rules and how the registry manages the cctld also has to be taken into account.
