Jose- It is not 3000 simultaneous connections. I just used that as an example to show how the spending and API connection is on a 1:1 ratio. During the drop period the register commands are spilt between the customers in proportion to their spending.

We've had many request to open the API to all spending levels. We decided that this would be the fairest way to open the API but still give an advantage to our bulk and super bulk customers.

Meaning you wont go clear on how and when (what is "drop period" anyway? .com, org also?) that will be done.

You just want us to believe you're running a magic algorithm that will turn things fair again. It's a faith issue then.

You also realize that checking a table with each costumer spending values before allowing the request to go trough or not will kill any Dyndot API speed advantage it had over others APIs.

Also, I see no reference to that on http://www.dynadot.com/domain/api2.html or on the forums. That's still work in progress, right?

Please give it a second tough and come clear with the rules. You could use a different time delay, according to user spending.

User who spends $50 has a 5 minute delay between reg requests, user who spends $500 has .5 delay, and user who spends over $5000 has zero delay. Its clear and fair.

User who spends 9.99 (blank accounts) has infinite delay.
