, the gTLD application deadline will be extended 8 days, to April 20, due to technical issues. That's the bad news.

, the owner of the .xxx registry plans to apply for some more adult-related gTLDs. This wouldn't be worth mentioning on an IDN forum, except that they are planning a form of what we would call "aliasing": Owners of .xxx domains will be given rights to the corresponding names in these new gTLDs (if the owner of .xxx succeeds in getting them). A model for Verisign to follow?
