2 in 1 / TM and generic name

Wanted to share and looking for your opinion/comment
one week ago i was in Ukranian and saw this shop:

this domain (вухо.com), this mean "ear" in Ukrainian

as a generic name I dont think that this have big value

but for what they do advertising for my domain?! I dont understand
maybe you can explain me

almost 200 signboards like this

in different bigest cityes of Ukraine and
active group in social network (vk.com)

How do you think, the owner/s of this chain stores missed something maybe?

*I also listen to some proposals if any body interesting

Thank you,

Dima.

Re: 2 in 1 / TM and generic name

the owner is advertising idn without knowing it. its common now a days. Soon these same people will wake up and realize that the name they are advertising belongs to someone else.

Then, im guessing there are two things that might happen.

A) They will try to sue you because you technically have their name and will mostly likely be unsucessful UNLESS its a TM

B) send you an email, asking for your asking price.

*Again, this is just an assumption so dont take my word for it.

To which you NEVER reply with a price. You say you're not looking to sell the name but will consider offers. You must make them first offer a price over and above the base cost of the domain. Otherwise you give them UDRPbait because they have proof you tried to sell it to them.

You are in a much stronger position if they offer you money over and above the base cost, AND don't mention they are a TM owner.

IANAL, YMMV etc etc.

yet many do not know it, I just hope that with such examples. ".ком" will be much faster popular than .рф

one more prominent example that I saw in the laast is http://www.24tradein.ru/
and many more of course

what members of this forum not understand, if russian's domainers, after such examples, can say that ".ком" will not get power newer?!
I think that today is already rhetorical question

and make sure if you're still using ND, that you have the for sale setting set to "contact" and not "for sale"
