I would trust MDM far more than I would trust G translation services
to my knowledge MDM doesn't offer an API so any site will rely either Google or Bing, IMO use as a reference and dig further, GAKT, consult a native ect.

GAKT gives "58" another sign that this is not a keeper

It is a counter word for 'Gold Coin' but not for 'gold'.

P.S. The correct counter words for gold in Chinese are: 銭/錢, 兩 & 吨 (or 块)
