What would you register?

Say you came across a name that seems to have 2 variations. One version has high Google Trends but low Google results, while another version of the name has high Google results but lower Google Trends, which name would you register?

Re: What would you register?

For traffic/revenue-hunting, Google Trends is a better indicator than search results. But even Trends can be misleading if it is not set to GAKT exact. For keyword hunting, it all depends on what version will be most suitable for the target market. Sometimes slang terms or shortened forms might get more trends, but might not be the best term for the market. So it all depends on what you are looking for (revenue or prime keyword), and the marketability of the term.

If you are really concerned with spending double the cash on two separate names, register both with GD and test for 5 days. Then drop the one that doesn't get as much traffic and get a refund. If you are looking at purely traffic as a gauge that is a pretty good way of tasting.

Re: What would you register?

Actually, does anyone know with Italian the difference between words that have "da" "del" or "per" between it? Eg.

xxxxx "da" yyyyy
xxxxx "del" yyyyy
xxxxx "per" yyyyy

Or just register a name without any of those in between so its just xxxxxyyyyy.com? I'm thinking that Italians seem to just prefer this way with their names from my Google searches.
