Strategies to popularize your IDNs

For maybe 6 months or so, I've had 4 IDNs set to redirect to websites that could most benefit (obvious matches).

Do you think this is ,,,
(1) a good strategy to popularize the use of the IDN
(2) or is it ill-advised?
(3) who cares, it don't really matter.
