The auction finished a couple of weeks ago at around $4K
As usual no transfer appears to have taken place and the registrant name has not changed.

Re: And you say IDNs are not getting popular....
IDN are dead and future is not looking too good. I think I will try to limit the money and time I invest in them in the future. It looks like it might not be worth it at all.
sure it can be fun to buy great keywords for little money, sure it is addictive but it's looking more like an expensive hobby than real investing. Hard to quit though.
After 17 years nothing has happened and many web services still don't support them, maybe never will.

40% of the time playing games, 55% on any of the four Facebook social network that dominate the top chart, 5% on all the rest.

You'd have better odds if you went to the casino.
If I had put all the money I've invested in IDNs into the share market, I'd be doing quite well right now.
But as an expensive hobby, I have found it quite rewarding. Collecting IDNs is fun.

I actually consider Facebook a game, a social game for that matter. I had stopped playing games since I started working but I do use Linkedin for work purpose.
Phone games are more threatening to consoles like XBox and PS than they are to domains for business purpose.
I remembered there was a Tamago hype about 20 years ago and people spent a lot of time on that toy. Now there's an app version of the game, I wonder if people still play it?

Not only facebook is a game, it's also the game for the poor;
yes, the poor is a majority, but still. I think they are stuck also and do not know which way to go from here.
I may be wrong, though.

Bread and circuses, but also affecting business efficiency with people logging onto Farcebook at work.
Every once in a while one of them steps out in front of a car though so the genepool is slowly getting there.
