Actually, I am sure there must be interesting idn.coms with associated interesting story. So, if you do know of or find any interesting idn.coms please do post to this thread or start a new thread of interesting idn.coms.

My focus is on idn.idn. Currently I am exploring Korean idn.idns. My intention is to work my way round the world searching for interesting IDNs. It is a task that will take me a few years

Burmurry 버무리 is a restaurant chain in South Korea with the IDN http://떡볶이창업.한국 (Tteokbokki Start-up.korea). It's landing page has immediate positive impact. It is packed with excellent artwork and animation. It is definitely eye-catching and has immediate appeal.

떡볶이 (Tteokbokki) appears in their IDN, on their webpage banner at top left and on their restaurant signage. 떡볶이 is a popular Korean dish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tteok-bokki I have not found out why their banner features a snail.

There is a mobile crane company in South Korea with the IDN http://대전스카이차.한국 It is based in Daejeon 대전, a city in central Korea. 스카이차 in their IDN means "Sky Car" which I think is such a cool name for their mobile cranes. They show their IDN prominently on their website, twice on the landing page.

There is another "Sky Car" company based in Cheongju 청주 City with the IDN http://청주스카이.한국

...and another in Ulsan 울산 city http://울산스카이.한국

...and another in Wonju 원주 city http://원주스카이.한국

When I was a kid I used to spend most of my school holidays on my Grandfather's farm. During my last year at school I lived the whole year on my Grandfather's farm. So, this thread would not be complete without a farming related IDN website

The company, All-in Korea 올인한국, specialises in equipment, such as feeding systems and fencing, for farm livestock ➜ http://올인.한국

The company Korean name 올인한국 perfectly matches the IDN as all one has to do to form the IDN is put a dot in the middle of their name

Today I learned that superberries are a thing, Aronia being one such superberry.

Jinju 진주 farm 농장 grows superberries. In their banner at top left they state "budget superberry farm 에산슈퍼베리농장". Most of their site concerns Aronia 아로니아 so I assume that this is their main crop but they do also grow blueberries 블루베리. Their site IDN is http://나무묘목.한국

This company sells plant based products. Several of their products are based on or include some form of glasswort 함초 which grows in salt marshes by the sea. Their IDN is http://순천만함초.한국 (Suncheon Bay Glasswort.korea)

Euncheon 은천 Farm 농장 http://은천농장.한국 is located in a river Valley. It offers farm stay holidays. Looking at the photos, it certainly is set in a beautiful location. What mostly attracted my attention though was one of their products, namely their Maple Tree Sap

This is the first time I have encountered a newspaper with a Korean IDN, namely http://국민문화신문.한국 (National Culture Newspaper.korea) I think this is an online only newspaper. 한아름농장 Hanareum Farm grows apples and pears which can be bought direct from them. I gather from their website that they grow one red skinned variety of apple and a single variety of pear. Their IDN is http://예천사과.한국 where 예천사과 means Yecheon Apples. I assume from the farm's postal address that the Yecheon referred to in the IDN is Yecheon County 예천군.

Gapyeng Estate (가평특선주영농조합) is a Korean wine estate. The name "Jazz Island" on the labels of their wine bottles is a reference to Jara Island 자라섬 on which the annual Jarasum 자라섬 Jazz Festival is held. Jara is an island on the Bukhan River 북한강. Their IDN is http://가평와인.한국 where 가평와인 is Gapyeong Wine. Jara Island 자라섬 is located in Gapyeong County 가평군. The company 아진오동사 makes wooden boxes. It has the IDNs

Paulownia is a fast growing tree and it's wood has various uses, including, making boxes. This company makes some, maybe all, of their boxes using Paulownia wood. Some of boxes this company makes are superb.

http://오동상자.한국/bbs/board.php?bo_table=0201&wr_id=3 is for Wild Ginseng. I think the first hanja character is 韓 but I am not certain as the text is quite small. If I am correct then the hanja on the box lid is 韓西山蔘 which means West Korea Wild Ginseng (lit. Mountain Ginseng). 진 in the red circle means genuine.

During my search for interesting Korean IDNs I have found several Korean Universities with IDNs but they immediately redirect to ASCII DNs. I have just found Konkuk University 건국대학교 and their web team has done a really good job of properly integrating their IDN into their site http://건국대학교.한국 Quite a lot of their site embedded links are absolute ASCII addresses but these open in a new tab/window and so one does not lose the Korean IDN. I think this is a very good strategy and acts as a consistent bridge between IDNs and ASCII DNs.

Note: I have not tested every link on their site as there are thousands but I think they will maintain this strategy for all links.

Paldo Market 팔도시장 is an online shopping site for food. They sell many different types of food. The food is well presented and the photography is very good. There are many foods on this site I have never eaten and many I do not even recognise.

There are traditional markets in Korea which occur every fifth day.
