I don't know about Chinese but for Japanese that's the meaning for "Day".
You'd have to think of a use for Day + TV.

It is also short for "Japan" in Chinese. I thought it is the same in Japanese, must be wrong.

Day - time - TV- the one way to get info here is to put up something that is incorrect- works everytime.

It is still a single character meaning day in Japanese or shoretened version of Chinese whatever the case!

Daytime is a different word from day.
Day means 24 hours not day "time"
One Day.. not daytime two different words...

Translations can't just be assumed to match sometime that might be recognizable usually.
