The official translation for Thailand is not "ไทย" but "ประเทศไทย" (pratheet Thai) or colloquially "เมืองไทย" (mueng thai). "ไทย" is more accurately translated as just "Thai" or "freedom" or "free".

b) If ".cc" has value, then any other TLD that allows Thai script has equal value. So that is currently .com, .net, .tv and in the future, probably loads of other TLDs. Where will the value be then?

There are still great unregged Thai .coms out there with OV ratings in the several hundreds. In my opinion, they beat .cc regges any day of the week.

No arguement, but to get the com or net etc would have been impossible as you well know. But if you used for development it is still a great keyword ?

I have quite a few good ones aleady but not in your league. But then I started buying idns last month, not 4/5 years ago as in your case?

.co.in english is a failing trend. I spent thousands in the field and regret it now. You were one of the only ones that were able to persuade buyers to buy them.

Yes, I see the failing trend had somebody buy Hollywood.co.in for $7k yesterday- now that is my idea of failure.

In what sense? Are you saying you would launch a website at ไทย.cc? If so, no thais would know what ".cc" meant (it doesn't really mean anything to an average westerner except maybe "carbon copy" or "credit card"). And as discussed, thais don't really search for this term, so it wouldn't have any great search engine benefit.

I would reg those whilst they are still available. Good .com Thai names are still going pretty fast.

I would reg those whilst they are still available. Good .com Thai names are still going pretty fast.
