Your post call for a good debate and validation of why some of us have registered Hindi IDN's .
To your point, best hindi IDN's are all registered, hence there is no point registering junk ones.
Indian IDNs are still speculative buys and before Hinidi IDNs get popular the Hindi search needs be be popular.
There are many reasons for Hindi searches are not popular
1) Not all regional sites are unicode encoded.
2) Although, google may show lot of results for keyword most of them are not useful.
3) Major search engines (
http://content.msn.co.in/Hindi/Default,
http://www.google.com/intl/hi/ do not have friendly search interface .
What if they major sites start migrating to Unicode encoding and major search engine starts introducing better search Interface like
http://www.raftaar.com/
Would your opinion change?
