SEDO buying your domains? - IDN Forums

Have those who have sold names (IDN.com) through SEDO noticed that it is SEDO themselves actually buying the name?
This has happened a few times, anybody else?

Bit of a cheek really to still take the 10%

Are you sure? Sedo normally take possession of domain names before transferring to buyer. Are you sure they are keeping them more than a couple of weeks?

Its been about a week so will check in a weeks time..

After payment has been received and the domain is unlocked Sedo will sometimes be listed as the registrant to secure the domain. Once the registration details have been updated either automatically or by the new owner the registration details will then show the true owner.

Sedo sometimes uses the name of the transfer agent to secure the domain or will use "Sedo GmbH".
The use of this system is for security of the domain.
