No, everyone has has the opportunity to pick up some descent stuff cheap. I guess most are New Reg die hards, who like so many domainers will only pay reg fee and then reassure one another on the appraisal threads.

My view is that unless you a naitive speaker and can pick up some non-dictionary terms you can forget Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai and Russian. Still a few opportunities in Arabic, Farsi, Turkic and Indic Scripts, but most people should be seriously considering the secondary markets, and reassessing the level of risk that prepared to take.

As you can see from recent threads, most transactions are not even making the news. Buyers don't see the sense in advertising that they are gradually cleaning up.

I paid reg fee for a few higher ranking .net cities than these on sale just a few mths ago, but to me, $7 or a couple hundreds makes no difference because i am buying to keep rather than to resell for profit, and thus, the leverage factor doesn't come in. Even if i own half of all top 50 chinese cities, i will still bid. You can identify investors from the pool of speculators just by looking at how they trade.

To me an Investor is an inferior being who can only make investment decision on the basis of Revenue Statistics. A Speculator, by contrast is someone who can see potential and understands the dynamics of the market. This enables him to leverage unrealised value. You Touchring are definitely a Speculator.
