That is a sensible question. You can set your own Time Zone so if you are quoting times in Auctions or the like it is sensible to specify the Time Zone. Perhaps, this is a subject of discussion as to how we can actually synchronise events effectively.

The Forum itself, appear to have no clock displayed but others running similar programmes do. It does tell you when you logged on, but that is not really that useful.

Present time is relative to each user.
I would suggest setting your timezone in your control panel.
Then you are sure to have the correct time.
Almost everyone is in different timezones that's why no one ever writes will end at 7pm.
It's easier to figure timing from 48 hours left etc.

That is exactly why the forum needs to display a time. It then becomes the forum/server time that everyone relates to. Without such a feature, everyone ends up being confused as to what time others are referring to.

"48 hours left" is fine if you happen to know exactly when something was posted and your maths are good enough ....

The actual time the forum/server uses is relatively unimportant - it could be GMT, or something else. The important thing is to establish a time we can all refer to.

All times are GMT. The time now is 09:17 AM.
