Since it's a pure Japanese term there's not a big need to write it in katakana, but since all stats are combined there's no way to tell how many people would search for it in katakana.

I was looking at this a while back... but both honyaku and tsuyaku had been taken in Hiragana... asked one of the translators at my company and they gave me the no-no to the katakana...
