Re: Macedonia and Thessaloniki

Are you sure about the translation of Macedonia? I don't speak Greek, so I'm not claiming to know (Maybe a native speaker can verify).

Perhaps there are multiple translations of Macedonia, as I own another translation of it (μακεδονία), which returns 825,000 Google vs. 321,000 Google.

Any idea about this?

Re: Macedonia and Thessaloniki

The only difference appears to be the accent over the i. The "correct" version would be the one with the accent. However, un-accented versions usually have higher Ovt because they are easier to type and Greeks usually drop the accents when typing.

Gotcha - thanks for clarifying!

Concur, with that. It would seem that without is a more appropriate form for a domain, but nobody will know for sure until the traffic stats start piling in.
