I noticed a long time ago that there is a correlation between ostensibly unrelated subjects.
for instance (broadcast) 播放, (technology) 技术, Guangxi 广西, these are strongly correlated trends, maybe expectable for broadcast vs technology but surely not for guanxi vs technology/broadcast, what is the source for correlation ?
Also, the fact that most trends are declining can not be explained by the reduced marketshare of google.cn;

Why ? All the above trends are cut in half since 2004, google however went from approximately 30+% to 20%, furthermore the internet usage in china has been increasing in china with double digits percentages since 2004.
The correlation and the rapid descent can not but attributed to normal user behaviour since the above terms do not represent hypes, dictionary terms do not lose grace over night and I am very sure that "technology" should not correlate with a geographical term.
What is the external drive that correlates these terms and why does it descent overall ?
