Help with DNS Hosting at Dopa

Hi guys,

Im a little wet around the ears when it comes to parking and even though I have "parked" my domains at Dopa, i'm not too sure if i'm doing it right!

I saw that little Nerd Quiz ya'll have been taking, and honestly, if they had a negative scale I would be crawling at the bottom!

I registered all my names at domainsite but am not sure where do I put the ns1.dopa.com in... is it in the DNS Management or the Name Server section.

This is probably a no-brainer for most of you, so I appreciate the help if someone could give me a step by step, 411 whatnot.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Help with DNS Hosting at Dopa

Login > Click "Show all names" > Click "Show Bulk Domain Management" (Just below the yellow box) > Tick the box beside each name you want to set nameservers for > Click "Modify only selected domain names" > On the next page click the + sign on "Edit Name Servers" > Copy and paste Dopa or Namedrive or SEDO nameservers into the boxes that say "Name Server 1, Name Server 2 etc" > Click "Submit" -- And thats it..

Re: Help with DNS Hosting at Dopa

Thanks Mulligan!

I had that set up but for some reason nothing is coming up when I visit the websites that I have parked... is there a problem with Dopa today?

Also, I notice that Dopa states 6 NS#.Dopa.com... does it matter if I only have 1 to 4?

Thanks agains for your help!

Re: Help with DNS Hosting at Dopa

It may depend on how long ago you set your nameservers. Im not that familiar with Dopa but I have entered 4 nameservers and that worked fine.

Re: Help with DNS Hosting at Dopa

At present only ns1.dopa.com and ns2.dopa.com are operating.

Which is a 100% improvement over earlier in the week.

Re: Help with DNS Hosting at Dopa

Does this mean we need to de-list ns3 and ns4 or doesn't it matter?

Re: Help with DNS Hosting at Dopa

It MAY cause a delay of a few seconds before the page is displayed for new queries to any domain at Dopa.
