Adam, Innocent Bystander: We've heard the feedback about standards-based web development, and IE7 addresses many of the biggest issues. You will be able to try IE7 before MIX, and we'll make a special build available at MIX. We'll also have open discussion where you can provide this kind of feedback to the IE team in person. Finally, I want to be clear that the conference is about a lot more than the web browser. RSS, media, gadgets, etc. all play a big part. joshuaa

To funny, mere hours had passed and they removed this blog from the homepage of mix06.com. I guess this person from Microsoft had stepped out of line. The link still works but it is no longer listed in the blog section. I went ahead and submitted a screen shot and the link to a few news organizations.
