If it doesn't work as a software development site, I might put free 'Save the Children' ads on it. I can check out the plethora of Google images for ideas. I really like the name, but that doesn't mean anything.

I disagree. It is suitable for development. Why do you think that it is good for noncommercial use only?

Even though I live a little over 3 years in US, I still have russian mentality which tells me that this domain is not good for commercial use.

Also, check out Development.com, it has been parked for years.

If I know that some name can raise in over a year more money than it costs, I would go ahead and buy it ... deveopmnet.com ... hmmm, I doubt that it can somehow rase anything over $300,000 ( i came up with such prive because that is what I would sell it for if it was mine).

I still don't understand you. Many good domains are parked, and stay parked for one reason: they make good money being parked. If I owned development.com, I would never sell it either.

In english word "development" can be used in plenty different ways, like news development, real estate development, manufacturing development etc.

In russian language word development does not go together with such potentially commercial terms. That is why "развитие.com" is not quite good for commercial use.

Keep it parked, so people think it is worth a fortune
