Just plain rude.

It's been my experience when dealing with domain names that you come across alot of people that are just plain rude. They put you down to make themselves look better and try to destroy your threads. Why is this?

The people that comment in here about me, have no idea who I am or what domains I own or the sales that I have been involved in...nor do I care if they know. I think the old saying "Everyone's a critic" applies directly to domaining, but why is this?

You'll see people put down someone for saying something in a sales thread, and the next day they'll do it themselves. The domain name industry houses alot of hot headed people, thats for sure. I'll tell you what. All of these people that put me down, I have been involved in 5, six figure domain name deals and multiple five figure deals. I'm not trying to brag, but most of these people that are putting me and others down, probably get excited when they make $50. It all goes to show that when you're online, you can't just say whatever you want. I've seen people in this forum call me rude when I didn't even say anything rude. Then the people that are rude are left unbothered.

Can't we all just get along?

Re: Just plain rude.

This forum is based on IDNs. In fact, we haven't seen you publicly sell a single IDN.

Also, you have posted a lot of things like, "I'm selling million dollar domains... to my clients... packages etc.".... showing off like this is bad form in Asia, and there are a lot of people from Asia here. Some of them don't know you. Some of them have also had big sales, are influencial people, work high paying jobs, are affiliated with prestegious institutions, are famous, are shown on TV, you name it.

If you are indeed the high rolling domainer you are, then let's see it in 1) Your sales of IDNs or 2) Buying top notch IDNs that sometimes show up on this forum.

Picking petty fights about who's the bigger, better, greater, whatever, doesn't sit very well with people.

An example, 2 people corrected your Russian translation, and you came back with: Well, I lived in Russia, so I know. That's the kind of response that isn't very productive.

Re: Just plain rude.

All I know is I suddenly see a newbie swaggering in being loud mouthed about domains that I would avoid like the plague.

Respect buddy. Respect RD, Giant, Alpha, Olney and the host of other IDN pioneers that will probably be a gazillion times more successful than the rest of us that came in later. They provide alot of information through experience and have put alot of thought into the new market.

I saw some of the "packages" you offer to your clients and to be honest, a monkey in a wet suit could do better.

No respect for you.

A fellow forum member showed me an email you sent him where you said you made a million dollars a years from domains. You also said you made $20K a month from IDNs. So apparantly you do like to brag, and strange you make so much money from IDNs when you clearly know very little about them...

As for getting excited about making $50, you have just been trying to flog off a clearly TM'ed domain for that same amount. Does a domain millionaire need the cash that badly?

If lots of people appear to be arguing with you, perhaps you need to look at someone other than those people.

Re: Just plain rude.

Not to pile one, but I think many remember you and the kinds of IDNs you were trying to sell at DNForums some time ago. That may have left a bad impression with some.

He already had a thick skin, and even thicker skin to ask an innocent question which he already knows the answer.

I just want to say that domaining is about cybersquatting, so the environment is naturally hostile with the kind of people around (one can't expect saints), lots of sales talk, lots of flattering (sellers to buyers), and people will take any opportunity to discredit a potential competitor (or perceived competitor).

Very childish behavor IMO.

I think that some of you are just unbelievable. Respect? Respect is something thats earned and not paid forward because you are a member of a forum. I'm not trying to be "loud mouthed" but when someone picks a fight I'm not just going to sit around and take it.

Its completely understandable that people here work well paying jobs and so on, there's no reason to doubt this. There are going to be people from all walks of life here. I think that the major issue here is that people blow something small up into something big.

Also, I dont have to prove a thing to you because I could care less if you believe me or not. And no, Im not bragging, and yes, I do make alot of money from IDNs and DNs alike. Just because you all deal with IDNs doesn't mean that you're going to automatically know me.

I want to apologize to everyone though. I guess once I think about it I have been a bit high strung and rude. I've been having a rough few months..going through a divorce and several other sob stories. Sorry guys!

I want the chance to meet each and everyone here. I guess we just started out on the wrong foot. I apologize and will do better in the future. Thanks again.
