Ahh,you're the one who grabbed this one? Nice! I was watching this one then forgot to make an effort to get it around drop time.I also got "hair" and "wool" in all the translation sites I used.I'm no expert in Japanese, but it looks like an excellent one to me.If I remember right,it even shows a bit of USA OVT.

There seems to be a more popular form with 25K JP ovt with $7 bids but alas on overture this version has $2 bids and seems to be used in Taiwan alot as well.
Also I didn't pay the $6k that the more popular one got when it went on the auction block. I guess I made out OK !
LOL
One guy bid me up alot tho....

Re: xn--ipw.com What is this?
It's a little confusing Jeff
for Japanese only (edited)
There is 毛 - Ke
There is 髪 - Kami
there is 髪の毛 - Kami No Ke
In English they can translate to hair but they all have ways to be used
Ke- you can say 1 strand of Hair - 一本の毛
You can't say this with the others
髪 - I like your Hair, Your hair looks nice. General term for hair
Don't grab my hair, don't pull my hair, my hair is caught on the headboard, maybe I should stop but I KNOW THIS ONE
You can't say I like your Ke...
Kami No Ke
I believe this mainly refers to one's hairstyle.
So my point is even though the English just says "hair" the use is different.
Maybe rhys knows a better general use for ke but I general use it to refer to strands of hair...

Why not?
That's all I can give advice on, that's all I speak (other than English). Even the one I sold I had no clue it mean hair in Chinese. I assumed Jeff was asking what does it mean in each language. I could evaluate it in Chinese or Thai also but, it would be wrong...

[EN] hair; pore; fur
[ZH] 毛 [mao2]
A common Chinese last name. Chairman Mao 毛 comes to mind.

Re: xn--ipw.com What is this?
Chinese:
髪 is only hair on your scalp (head)
毛 is hair on everywhere of your body except scalp.
when use 毛髪 together, it means 毛 + 髪, a general term like "hair" in English.

Adjective in front, so it's Buttocks Hair - 屁股毛.
I think Mao is = Body Hair versus Hair. Mao is more commonly used to mean Fur.
