btw, .kr supports idn, have you been registering that as well? It seems to me there are still good opportunities in .kr even last year.

Agreed, the U.S. idea of "broadband" is such a joke. We need to sweep the legislature clean with these old farts tied to the cable industry and get some young blood in who understands the "internets" as Bush would call them and competition.

Yes, Korean people are very tech savvy which only increase the opportunity in selling these domains in near future. With IE7 coming out and many Koreans still preferring IE over FireFox, it'll be great. Korean's prefer IE because many websites, such as online game websites require IE. You login with your ID on their website, install an ActiveX, and when you click "Game Start" you can play. Different from most other games which have icons and you run it off your PC's icon.

Due to this, Korean IDNs should definately increase in price rapidly in near future.

That is true. But you must keep in mind that there is a system called "수호천사" in a few Korean ISPs which blocks out pornographic websites and at times, advertisements too. Pretty scary, but yes, they somehow manage to not display the advertisement images. Probably the CTR and PPC may be a bit affected by it too.

Also, note that although Koreans are tech savvy, the majority don't type in random stuff into their browsers. When searching for websites, they also don't use sites such as Google, but use sites like Naver.com, Daum.net, Empas.com. Three major Korean SEs. You need to remember that they aren't all that "friendly" with English.

Yes. 코리아 sounds like Korea in when read in Korean. 코리아.net seems like a pretty good name considering how Korea.com is a major Korean portal.
