I would think there are already well over a Million Chinese Character names in circulation already. Even CNNIC alone must now be getting fairly close to that mark.

1,171,685 .cn domain regs (1,874,604 including 2nd and 3rd level) as of February 2007. With their promotional pricing I don't even want to imagine the lift that they've had.
