Dispute resolution on here is not good.

Seamo is the only one who is here on a regular basis sorting things out and he seems to have limited authority.

The members are generally left to their own devices, except in odd circumstances when there is intervention from Admin, which often seems misguided and ill-timed.

At the same time their seems to disparity between who is allowed to insult who and who is allowed to spread complete lies with impunity.

It is time that Admin recognised that Boards are about communities rather than ownership of domains or databases.

Site has also been recognised as a soft target by spammers who are turning up with monotonous regularity.

The mods have no time commitment from me.
If they have pressing family matters they can come to the site as time allows.
This is what I told them as they signed up.

Seamo has overall access to everything now, this was an oversight that has been rectified.

Spammers the ones who post the Nokia spam are targeting plenty of boards, it's manual Spam. Preventive measures are taken each time it comes up...

I think it would be more constructive to admit that Scottfish has lost interest and to appoint a replacement.

I have to assume that you are in agreement with my points which you have not addressed.

RD - just a comment from an observer - you do put the coconuts in the shy/shie on a regular basis - bound to get some missiles thrown your way.

Not much point being a mod if they don't put time into it .....

ScottFish looked dodgy from day 1. Coming in "big time" with his "declared budget" of $25K and then not even replying to PM's. I bet he hardly bought a name at all, just wanted to show off.

Seems like the qualification to be a mod must have been "minimal" to say the least.

Well, if you are going to let people tell blatant outright lies about members in a forum without any rebuke, then there is really no point have any form of moderation at all. By continuing to have Scottfish list as such, Olney is just acknowledging that fact.
