Can someone please launch a Portuguese bot?

I am obviously kidding, but it would be nice to see some traffic (even fake) to my Portuguese domains!!!!!

This is one reason why i am looking at a registrar that refunds, so that i can use it for 'borderline' names.

Did you try backlinking yet idn? Are they indexed in Portuguese Search Engines?

Re: Can someone please launch a Portuguese bot?

Not really tasting, but for latins, one can calculate the multiples.

A portuguese name that earns 2 cents or 5 cents a month isn't going to get a x100 multiple, but more likely a x10 to x15 at the very most. And x10 of 5 cents is only 50 cents.

Indexing is not reliable for parking pages - sometimes it just drops off after a few months.

Another area that makes selection difficult for latins is that sometimes, the "ASCII typo" is 10 times more popular than the "correct" version, rendering the name almost useless. Perhaps latin speakers like Jose can elaborate on this.

Nah, not yet. I have not optimized keywords, backlinked or even parked some idns!

Re: Can someone please launch a Portuguese bot?

Register some com.br IDN's - that's where all the traffic will be.

I have thought about it, but with a high reg fee and no guarantee that it will deliver more traffic than the idn .com I am not totally convinced.

How is this possible? Do tell!

I get insane bot traffic to my .nets and I do get traffic and some clicks to my .coms although operações.com seems to be the overwhelming favorite - not sure why.

Did a quick search, prices are super expensive.

operações.com is really odd, low ovt. Maybe it's from the ASCII site.

Re: Can someone please launch a Portuguese bot?

I bought it to go along with my business-type domains. I liked the name operations.com (operações.com) for a consulting site and the traffic all comes from Brazil, so it must be type in traffic. Anyway, the bots love my .nets much more than my .coms and I do not know why.

When did this .net bot thing started? I noticed that i am getting about 33% CTR for both August and July, this Sept up to date, almost 34%. How do you know bot hits increased? From decreased CTR?

If the bots hit .net, i'm sure they will hit the .com as well.

Yes, we use the ascii typo very often because you can type more fast and "people don't know" they can type the correct version.
