Well grub, it isn't bad at all but that character has a much broader meaning of "art" than the kind of "art" you are probably thinking. 芸術 is "Art" and 芸 is "art, talent, skill, ability, accomplishment". It's still good but rather than being specific to the aesthetic disciplines it denotes skill or ability - does that help?

I knew it wasn't the traditional 芸術... but I thought maybe it was "artistic"... or "artsy"... or "with art" or something of the like... makes perfect sense... seems like it is an astute name of worth though. Thanks for your help rh! |
