Another sign IE7 is getting closer to Auto Update

Microsoft Blog today indicates that IE7 has solved issues regarding compatability with website recognition.

QUOTE: Over the last eighteen months, most sites that had previously blocked the new version of Internet Explorer have been updated, and we’re happy to report that the vast majority of Internet sites are now accessible using IE7.

Another interesting thing is that I have put up a number of comments to the blog recently. One suggested that the Odd on next week were stronger than next month. They refuse to upload that one. Seemed to touch a nerve.

I think the reason no one person has a firm grip on the "date" is that it is a group decision between the myriad of Microsoft divisions. I sense that it is getting very close, especially as IE7 gets installed at the OEM level in new computers. Sure would be interesting to see the "organizational chart" for IE7 engineering, technical support, marketing, etc. etc.

I wonder if IE7 is susceptible to the latest IE6 exploit that's out there live?
